Set your sights on becoming a pilot!
With the WCCHS Flight Academy, high school students earn high school credit as they develop the knowledge and skills to prepare them for a private pilot's license after graduation.
Flight Academy students participate in aviation-based field trips, learn to fly using simulators, and earn 5 hours towards the ability to write the private pilot’s license. WCCHS Flight Academy meets each Friday during the school year at CFI in Claresholm and is open to all Livingstone Range School Division high school students.
Grade 10 — Flight 15 (3 credits), $2,500
Grade 11 — Flight 25 (3 credits), $3,000
Grade 12 — Flight 35 (3 credits), TBD
Fee includes certified instructors, materials, and flight simulator time.
